Louie Ettling, originally from South Africa, has been passionate about yoga since she began studying Iyengar Yoga with Wende Davis in Vancouver in 1985. In 1998, after studying with the Iyengar family in India and receiving her Iyengar teaching certificate, Louie co-founded The Yoga Space in central Vancouver (www.theyogaspace.ca). As the current director, Louie teaches most of her classes there. She has formerly served on the Board of Directors for Vancouver's BKS Iyengar Yoga Association and on the executive of the Iyengar Yoga Teachers’ Association of Canada. Louie supports students in developing their own creative body intelligence through yoga.
