Ingelise Nherlan was introduced to yoga in 1970 and to Iyengar yoga in 1975. She has since travelled several times to Pune, India to study with the Iyengar family at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute. Ingelise holds a Senior Intermediate Teaching Certificate awarded to her by B.K.S. Iyengar. She brought yoga to her native Denmark in the late 1970s and now lives in West Vancouver. Ingelise teaches a wide range of classes and trains yoga teachers for Iyengar Yoga Certification. She is one of Canada’s senior Iyengar Yoga teachers. Her teaching is a blend of careful asana work, thoughtful yoga philosophy, and a generous dash of humour. She travels widely in Canada and abroad sharing her knowledge and skills.
