Carol's teacher training in yoga began in the late 1970s with an internship program given by Dr. Bruce Carruthers and Maureen Carruthers. In 1982 Carol studied at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute. Carol’s teaching career began in 1983 with classes in Sechelt. Carol received a B.A. from San Jose State University in California in Business and Social Science. In 1988, Carol became a Registered Massage Therapist, She opened Coast Massage Therapy Clinic in Sechelt, specializing in Craniosacral, Rosen Method and Visceral Manipulation. Each year Carol takes postgraduate course for massage, the latest being muscle energy courses, as well as attending Iyengar Yoga workshops.
